When you install a Deako Smart Switch to control your exterior lighting, you can set up a sunset and sunrise schedule on your Deako app. Then your lights will automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn. Once you set the schedule, the Deako app accounts for your area’s time changes for sunset and sunrise, including Daylight Savings Time. The lights will change at Civil Twilight—just when things start to get dark or bright out—so you’ll never have to fumble in the dark.
Set up a sunset or sunrise schedule in your Deako app
To create a sunset or sunrise schedule, use your Deako app:
- Tap the + icon at the bottom of your Deako app home screen
- Select the Schedule icon
- Click “Which device?” and select the switch for your outdoor lights
- Tap the bubble for “Turn device on”
- Click on the time setting and select Sunset
- Tap the bubble for “Turn device off”
- Click on the time setting and select Sunrise
- Click Done in the top right corner
