Job description

We’re looking for a marketing specialist to take Deako’s explosive growth to a whole new level. As a marketing specialist, you will be at the forefront of helping our digital marketing efforts, video creation and editing, generating builder leads, executing successful builder launches, tracking metrics and testing maketing efforts. You’ll be our fearless relationship builder, Deako evangelist, helping bring our product to homes all over the nation.



What you'll be doing- Marketing Specialist will support the Marketing team to drive innovation in existing Marketing and advertising programs, assist in the strategy and implementation of new programs, help organize the tracking, research and  effectiveness of all marketing initiatives.

Some of the things you'll be doing include:

  • Research and aggregate information about builder programs and upgrades that will inform marketing and sales team.
  • Build tracking system to report and  record effectiveness of marketing and sales efforts to increase and organize upgrade rates of product.
  • Manage and track the progress of marketing deliverables across a matrixed organization.
  • Test, revise, and optimize strategies to help uncover the most successful approaches.
  • Identify, build and execute on A/B, multivariate tests to support campaign objectives (email drip campaigns through Hubspot, direct mail campaigns, and promotions through Shopify.)
  • Creation of video content for online - editing, graphics, sound, outputting to a variety of formats for social
  • Capture studio-quality video both on location and in the office as projects dictate.
  • Assist in the production of digital assets for outbound media and landing pages. Including some video shooting and production (Adobe After Effects), Photography of product in-context, graphic design (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Proven long and short form writing and editing abilities, ideally in a few of the following areas: blog posts, sponsored content, PR, email nurture campaigns, ad copy, social media posts.

  • Support digital channel leads (Paid Search, Paid Social, Display) in campaign planning, implementation, optimization, and reporting. (Google AdWords, Analytics, Facebook & Instagram Ads)
  • Audit, analyze and provide recommendations on opportunities to improve the website visitor experience
  • Event planning and creative design of event space, marketing materials, guerrilla marketing tactics for events and trade shows


  • Educated - Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Advertising, Business or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Experienced - experience with Paid Digital Advertising or relevant coursework preferred
  • Skilled - familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and other Adobe Cloud products
  • Team player - Proactive and excited by a collaborative team-oriented environment and able to work with a diverse set of both technical and business-oriented stakeholders
  • Communicator - a self-starter, but know when to ask for direction on key matters
