A plug-n-play light switch system that can be easily changed or upgraded without wiring or turning the power off.
Customizing your lighting hasn’t been easy, until now. With Deako changing a light switch takes seconds.
We’ll refrain from getting too technical. We cut the light switch in half so if you want to upgrade, all you have to do is plug a switch in!
Identify the light switch you want to customize and pull the faceplate from the corners to remove.
Pull the blue tab at the top of the switch toward you.
The switch will pop out. Remove and set aside.
Plug in your Deako switch and push in the blue tab.
Replace the faceplate and voila! You’ve installed a Deako switch!

Install your Smart Switch by plugging it in to your desired location.
Pair your Smart Switch with your Deako app by following along with the walkthrough in the app or watching this video.
Now we’re going to go through linking groups of switches together. It’s easier than it sounds, I promise! Make sure you have your switches ready to go and let’s get started.
If you’d like to use Smart Dimmers, make sure that you have 1 Master Smart Dimmer and Remote Smart Dimmers. For example, a light with 3 switches controlling it will need 2 Remote Smart Dimmers and 1 Master Smart Dimmer. Check out this video for more info.
Find the power switch by plugging your Smart Switch into a backplate and watching for Configure button to flash green. If it doesn’t flash green, no worries – just move on to the next backplate.
Group all downstairs lights together so that when you head up for bed, it just takes one tap to turn them all off.
Group lights to turn on/off for different kinds of activities. Time to get up? Program a good morning scene to turn on all lights. Movie time? Turn off the brightest lights to set the scene with one click.
Set a timer on often forgotten lights; kids rooms, closets, or the basement. Frequently forget to turn off that bathroom fan? Timers come in handy there as well.
Never come home to a dark house when you schedule outdoor lights to turn on at sunset. Heading out of town? Schedule interior lights to come on and off at different times so it doesn’t look like your home is empty.
With Deako smart products you have the capability of integrating your voice assistant with your light switches. Automate your lighting and create scenes that activate multiple smart home products at once.
Don’t forget: if you’re plugging in Smart Switches on a multiway (where two or more switches control the same light) you’ll need to link them to each other.
